INGERSOLL CHORAL SOCIETY
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Each executive position serves for a 3 year mandate and is elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. The Board is empowered and entrusted to manage the affairs and
internal and external relationships of the Ingersoll Choral Society.
Board members are voluntary positions. Specific responsibilities and expertise are championed by Board members ( e.g. materiel logistics, staff relations, budgetary operating plans, policies & procedures, show schedules, rental space, procurement and auxiliary support such as lighting and sound).
Our current Board members bring to the organization a wide variety of skills and experience, including Project Management, Community Relations, Business, Customer Service, Graphic Design etc.
The Board establishes goals and budgets, sets membership fees, and authorizes and coordinates additional volunteer work among our members. Examples includes: Music Librarian, Webmaster, Youth Singer Co-ordinator, Show Producer, Ticket Sales, Sales, Promotion etc.
The Music Director is responsible for song selection, teaching, creative direction, selecting accompanying musicians, and co-ordinating a Creative Team to assist in concert production.
